In the spectacular setting of Piazza del Popolo in the heart of Orvieto, stands the Palazzo del Capitano del Popolo, now also called Palazzo dei Congressi. Its strategic location offers the opportunity to easily organize events and conferences throughout the year.

“Sala dei Quattrocento” – Located on the second floor of the Palazzo, set up for 328 people, this room can accommodate up to a maximum of 450. Fitted with a stage for speakers with good technical equipment, such as large screen, sound reinforcement systems, video projection, video recording, video conferencing, control room, fixed infrared simultaneous translation, and electronic dimming projection. Decorated with beautiful frescoes on the walls, in one of the most impressive buildings in town.

“Sala Expo” – Located on the ground floor of the Palazzo, adjacent to the Sala dei Quattrocento via a closed circuit TV broadcasting system, this multi-purpose hall has an area of 220 square meters. The uses range from meetings and seminars up to 200 people, to exhibitions and social occasions up to a capacity of 300 people. Additional space is available, in an elegant environment punctuated by arches and covered with tufa bricks.

“Sala Etrusca” – Located in the basement of the Palazzo, next to the Sala dei Quattrocento via a closed circuit TV broadcasting system. This room is designed with a modular system and can be divided into three independent rooms, with sound-absorbing movable walls. It is ideal for meetings and conferences from 15 to 120 participants.

In addition to the rooms mentioned, are the spaces used for speakers, press room, bar/restaurant and a coatroom. The hall takes its name from the base of an Etruscan temple of the 6th Century BC. Huge square blocks of tufa were discovered during the restoration of the Palace. The fragments of the ancient Etruscan city are now visible from the glass wall as a backdrop to the room.

Other conference and meeting places in Orvieto

Chiostro di San Giovanni – The cloister, in the former convent of San Giovanni, is now restored and converted into a multipurpose facility for exhibitions, conferences, with a capacity of 80-100 seats.

Auditorium Sala del Carmine – Located in the former church of the Carmine, Via Loggia dei Mercanti.

Palazzo dei Sette – Just below the Torre del Moro, this multipurpose facility of 1,400 square meters, has several rooms (Sala degli Archi, Sala del Governatore and a covered atrium) for shows and exhibitions.

Teatro L. Mancinelli – Established in 1866 and named after the famous composer/conductor Luigi Mancinelli, this theater is a beautiful building with excellent acoustics, finely decorated with murals painted by Fracassini, and features elegant furnishings. It has a total of 546 seats distributed as follows: 164 floor seats, 322 first and second floor balconies, 150 in the third floor balcony.
