Orvieto-Acquapendente-Torre Alfina

From Orvieto take the Allerona-Viceno direction then follow the signs for Castelgiorgio and Acquapendente. Before reaching the destination we suggest a stop at the village of Torre Alfina, considered one of the most beautiful in Italy. Dominated by its elegant castle tower, Torre Alfina is a nice village between Umbria and Lazio. From here continue for a few kilometers to reach Acquapendente.  We suggest a visit to the center, the Duomo, the Museo del Fiore with the exhibition of Pugnaloni (mosaics made of flowers and leaves).
Just outside the town, descending onto a side road within the “Bosco Monumentale del Sasseto,” is the Gothic Mausoleum containing the remains of the noble Cahen. The forest offers visitors a unique and almost enchanted atmosphere, with its trails stretching between boulders and rocks of all sizes and its majestic, centuries-old trees. For several years, Torre Alfina has hosted an important music festival, the Torre Alfina Blues Festival, a must-see for lovers of the genre.
