Contiguous to the municipality of Ficulle are also the villages of Montegabbione Montegiove and the suggestive <strong>Convent of the Franciscan Scarzuola<\/strong> with adjoining artistic structure with allegorical sculptures of the \u201cIdeal City\u201d realized by a famous\u00a0architect and artist: Tommaso Buzzi. The Scarzuola can be visited only by guide.<br \/>\nIt is believed that Saint Francis of Assisi founded the Scarzuola Convent in <strong>1218<\/strong>, where he planted a laurel and a rose and created a spring for which the people still hold great devotion. The Convent takes its name from the scarza, a marsh plant with which the Seraphic monk built a hut.
